You can be a super organized person (I am) and have planned many successful events yourself (I have), but you’ll still be glad that you hired an event planner for your wedding! My only regret is that we didn’t use their full event planning services, we realized in the final month that it would have been worth every penny.
Kathryn D. Events helped with vendor recommendations, setting expectations, supplying forms to get all of the details organized, and pinning down final decisions. Guidance on the timeline for the wedding and reception was hugely helpful. It helped that almost all of our vendors were familiar with Katie and it was great to hear “Don’t worry, Katie will take care of that.” There is just no way that someone who isn’t in the business can run a wedding as smoothly as an expert.
When the big day arrived it was an INCREDIBLE RELIEF to see Katie there, clipboard in hand, knowing exactly what everyone was supposed to be doing and when. Having been at other weddings without event planners, I know how many times people come up to the bride to ask questions, and how overwhelmed the brides always seem (“Where’s the shuttle bus?” – Who cares!). Katie handled all of the details up until the (sloppy) end of the reception, and we were able to take off the next morning for our honeymoon knowing that all of the vendors and venues were taken care of.
Bottom line – I spent my wedding day blissfully unaware of anything other than the fact that I was being married surrounded by all of my family and friends. I can’t think of a better endorsement!”
